Community Reference Groups
We are looking for people who live in East Glasgow that have a passion for improving their community. We want you to come along and be part of the Community Reference Group in your area. We want to hear what matters to you and your ideas for improving your community.
About community planning
Community planning is about improving public services and making sure that local people have the opportunity to influence and make a difference in the plans for their communities. This covers a range of issues and services that matter to local residents, including education, employment, housing, health, safety, community facilities, provision for young people and much more.
Get involved and make your voice heard

.
The Local Community Planning Partnerships have agreed to establish 5 Community Reference Groups in the East Glasgow area. Community Reference Groups will consist of a cross section of up to 20 local residents and will reflect the diversity of the local community: men, women, young, old.
Community Reference Groups will:
- give a voice to residents and involve them in the decisions made about the services that affect them
- be inclusive and reach into the wider community
- encourage communities to come together to share their knowledge and experience in solutions to local issues.
We want you to come along and join the Community Reference Group in your area!
Please contact Leah or Cecilia on 0141 781 4194 to find out more.
