Eligibility

Voluntary option - Entry requirements

  • 18 years or over with a childcare responsibility.
  • Receiving benefits or working part time.
  • Be prepared to commit to between 2-15 hours per week.
  • Able to satisfy Disclosure and vetting requirements.

Employed option - Entry requirements

  • 25 years or over.
  • 18 years, lone parent.
  • Unemployed and receiving benefits.
  • Prepared to work 35h per week.
  • Able to satisfy Disclosure and vetting requirements.

About the project

Stepping Stones for Families and Childcare Works have come together to bring this exciting new project to Easterhouse and surrounding areas.The project offers local people the opportunity to develop skills and experience within the childcare field and work towards a rewarding and worthwhile career.

Working in partnership with local childcare providers we will develop a workforce of highly skilled and dedicated childcare workers who can deliver this essential service making a positive impact on children, families and the community. Participants can apply for the part-time option or the full-time waged employed option, subject to satisfying Disclosure Scotland and vetting procedures.
