Greater Easterhouse Learning Network Supports Adult Learners
Week
Learning Centres within the Greater Easterhouse Learning Network
are holding IT flexible learning sessions where a tutor and a
learning advisor will be on hand to help with any questions potential
learners may have.
Craig Green, The Network Manager said:"In
the learning centres you will find free Internet and email services,
and the support you need to use them. Once a week in each of the
centres a tutor from John Wheatley College comes in to provide
support for people learning how to use the Internet and other
uses of computers, and there are also open sessions supported
by volunteers where you can practice your skills or simply use
the computers to find information or communicate with other people.
There is also help available for you if you want to improve your
reading or number skills.
Coming soon for the learning network is a music creation course
using the computers in the learning centres (expected to be available
by August) and an Internet radio station in the Glenburn Centre
(‘Easthall FM’).
Details of all the services offered, as well as news about over
100 local services, are available on the Pathfinder website, but
feel free to call in to your local learning centre during adult
learners’ week or whenever convenient and find out more
for yourself"
