Local Youth Magazine on its Way
Following a recent survey of young people to determine demand
for a youth magazine Greater Easterhouse Partnership is funding
a pilot project to support a new youth mag for the area. The aim
is to get young people from throughout the area to contribute
ideas and articles for a separate four-page insert in the next
issue of PQ.
Denise Symington from Greater Easterhouse Partnership said: “The
idea is to get young people involved in not only developing ideas
but writing stories and designing the layout. We already have
an active group looking at the magazine and hope to attract more
youngsters to the group.”
Denise continued: “We realise some young people don’t
always want to join a formal group but would still be interested
in submitting an article for the magazine so we decided to run
a competition. The best articles will be included in the summer
edition of PQ and successful entrants stand to win a range of
great prizes including a TV/DVD player.”
