Interested in working within the media sector?

We are looking to recruit, enthusiastic people who are keen to work as part of a team and be involved in using (and learning to use) new media as a means of producing broadcast quality material.

You must be over 16 and unemployed.

Programme will last up to 13 weeks and will focus on some of the following areas:

Music Invention and DJ style activities
Current affairs both locally and nationally
College affairs
Support for current programmes such as the Talking Book for the Visually Impaired
Learn how to record, edit, produce (script and read) and broadcast quality newsworthy material
Work solo where required
Work as part of a team
Work to deadlines
Learn about the main concepts surrounding the Creative Industries
Learn about design concepts that support broadcasting, and;
Learn how to use digital support mechanisms to support the project

Participants must be willing to work hard and be good all round team players.

Salary/ Hours

35 hours per week

16 -18 years: £4.50 per hour

More than 18 years: £5.35 per hour
