Young people in Baillieston, Shettleston and Greater Easterhouse are HAPPY
At the recent ‘Get stuck in'to this!' event, arranged to find out what issues are important to young people, 85.1% said they are happy when answering a questionnaire.
Other important information highlights ‘young people want police involved in youth activity’ and ‘smoking, alcohol and drugs are three main health concerns for young people’

Over a hundred Young People from all over Baillieston, Shettleston and Greater Easterhouse came together to ‘Get Stuck In’ on Saturday 23 February 2008. The main purpose of the event was to ask young people their opinions on issues that affect their lives.
Before ‘Getting Stuck In’ to the dance event by ‘Groove Tech’ young people took part in workshops on Health, Safety, Arts, Youth Involvement and an Online Questionnaire. Alongside a market place of interactive stalls from clubs and groups who work with young people in the area.
The event was made possible through the local Community Planning Partnership and Baillieston, Shettleston and Greater Easterhouse Youth Network whose partners include Strathclyde Police, Culture and Sport Glasgow, FARE, Barnardos, GE YouthBank, GERA, Health 4 You, Innerzone, Gladiators as well as local churches.
