Dairy
 You are now entering the dairy. Enter into the centre
of the room and notice that the vaulted ceiling runs
from east to west here. In the kitchen it runs from north to
south and the change in direction is providing extra strength to the structure of the building.
 Dumb waiter
At the bottom
of the room a hole has been made in the ceiling. This would
accommodate a primitive dumb waiter system to pass the meall
upstairs.
