Dining Hall
As you enter the
dining hall, to the right you will see the original turret
entrance with a small wooden platform that would have run around the inside of it to
give access to the windows.
Cornicing
The dinning hall was improved during the early 17th Century
when the ceiling and cornice were added. This makes the cornice
one of the oldest in Scotland.
Attic bedroom
Adjacent to the turret you can
see a large indentation in the original flagstones. This was
caused when a staircase was built to give access to an attic
bedroom which was added when the ceiling was put in to the dinning
hall. To the rear of the room is the fireplace and an entrance
to the master bedroom.
Please continue through the doorway into the master
bedroom.
