Practical advice

If possible teachers should visit the site before taking pupils. It is useful to determine the suitability of paths and the terrain for use by children and to check out ease of access for wheelchair use if necessary.

If visiting Provan Hall and Gardens for an outdoor activity please remember that the weather can change very quickly. Paths can be muddy and wet in places after rain so suitable footwear should be worn. Strong shoes or wellingtons are advisable along with adequate warm and waterproof clothing, hats and gloves.

First aid

Should be carried by the class teacher in case of emergencies.

Management rules

Rules regulating the City's parks and open spaces are displayed in all parks. The aim of these management rules is to make the City's green areas safe and protected environments and to ensure their full use and enjoyment by the public. These rules should be adhered to at all times. In addition any restrictions, warnings or temporary closure notices should be observed.
