Youth Engagement Project

Pupil Participation

Young People in Lochend High School are being actively encouraged involved in their school be either taking part in their pupil council or by taking part in the 10 week Active Citizenship Programme being run by the Youth Engagement Project.

As part of the Active Citizenship Programme young people who ordinarily do not get involved in their community are encouraged to identify an issue in their community which they want to change and campaign to get something done.

The young people who get involved in the Active Citizenship Programme will receive a nationally recognised certificate at the end of the course as well as being able to say that they ran their own community project.
